The Cherry Orchard is a fully self-contained, two bedroom 1870's miner's cottage, just 300 metres down the road from The Potager at Golden Point. It is known locally as Archers cottage and the Archer family brought up 8 children in this wee cottage, 70 years ago!

The surroundings host abundant bird life and grazing kangaroos can be seen in the adjacent paddocks. It is nestled beside an old fruit orchard which is being revitalised along with the garden.

The cottage has been thoughtfully restored with whitewashed walls, rugs and artworks. There is a separate dining room with an open fire, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a combustion wood fire and a bathroom with the original pink 'claw foot' bath!

The Cherry Orchard works well with The Potager if there is a large group or on its own as a cosy and simple retreat. Plus... there are many interesting things to do in the region.
